At just 11 years old Bromley Beacon Academy's Vinnie Corder has won the National Schoolboys' Boxing Championships Title 2025.
When Vinnie was just two years old, his godfather noticed that he was very gifted at boxing and started training him. At the age of just seven, he was 'carded' (signed) to Bromley and Downham Boxing Club as they also spotted his true talent for the sport.
Training at least four times a week, Vinnie began dedicating countless hours to perfecting his boxing skills. When he reached age 11 he was able to go out and box for the club, having his wins or losses recorded.
Vinnie lived and breathed boxing for the whole month of January, in preparation for the National Schoolboys' Championships, which took place in Swindon. From giving up sugar and following a special meal plan, to doing extra strength and conditioning training, Vinnie trained like a trojan, taking on criticism and listening to the guidance from his coaches.
Impressively and to everyone's surprise, Vinnie was picked to go straight into the finals, due to his talent and experience. Then, with his incredible determination and ambition, Vinnie won the title!
This is an amazing achievement and as a Trust, we cannot wait to see what in store for Vinnie in the future. His Boxing career is off to an amazing start and we wish him the very best of luck!
