The Michael Tippett School: Deputy Headteacher Application Information
In November 2022, The Michael Tippett School is planned to convert into an Academy under the wing of London South East Academies Trust (LSEAT). Therefore, in partnership with Lambeth Council, we are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who not only has substantial leadership /senior management experience in special education but can also embrace the changes inherent in Academy conversion.

Provision Boards and Academy Councils
For 2021-22 we are introducing a new model of Governance, we will have Academy Councils for each school and three Provision Boards that report directly to the London South East Academies Trust Board - this will facilitate growth within the Trust.
All Provision Boards will be chaired by a Trustee and comprise up to 7 local community governors and Head Teachers or Heads of School.
- The Specialist Provision Board will comprise local community governors from each of the following Schools: Woodside, BBA, Endeavour, Aspire and Bramley Oak.
- The Alternative Provision Board will comprise local community governors from BTA and Horizons.
- The Primary Provision Board will comprise local community governors from Belmont.
Academy Councils will be chaired by Head Teachers or Heads of School and comprise of the DSL, two or three local community governors, two parent governors and two staff governors.
