Coronavirus Updates
Ensuring the wellbeing and safety of our students and staff is our top priority. That’s why we’re taking a number of measures to ensure our schools are both safe and welcoming.
Below, we’ve set out the key principles and steps that we will follow to achieve this.
We will:
-
Ensure that we follow government guidance across our schools and have a strong contingency plan if further lockdowns occur. We will also ensure that the way we operate and the measures we take are continually risk assessed.
-
Actively manage the numbers of learners or staff on site at any one time, ensuring numbers are kept to a minimum. Smaller teaching groups will be the norm and, through staggered teaching times, groups will be kept separated as far as we possibly can throughout the day.
-
Ensure that teachers create a 2-metre social distancing teaching zone within classroom and vocational teaching spaces.
-
Ensure that no large gatherings take place onsite.
-
Continually remind our learners and staff of the importance of social distancing and good hygiene practice and direct them to hand sanitise on entering and exiting the building and each learning space.
-
All trips will be subject to a risk assessment.
