Woodside pupil climbs Mount Snowden to raise over £2,000 for his school
During the May half-term break, George Kennedy took on an extraordinary challenge climbing Mount Snowdon the highest mountain in Wales at 1,085 metres. Accompanied by his family, friends, and even a toy dragon for moral support, George and his 20 fellow climbers reached the summit in just 3.5 hours. Despite finding the ascent challenging, George persevered with a smile and descended in 2.5 hours, just in time for the clouds to clear and reveal some amazing views.
But George’s journey didn’t stop there, he and his group embarked on another long walk to Aber Falls, where they took in the natural beauty of the Welsh countryside.
George raised an incredible £2,507 via his JustGiving page all of which will go directly towards creating a brand new sensory room at Woodside.
We could not be prouder of George a true role model for our Trust. His resilience, compassion, and desire to make a difference is truly inspiring.
